THE LONDON EDIT: STREET STYLE TRENDS
IN THE RED
Red is quickly becoming the standout colour of the season, being a popular choice for accessories and bags. The red shoe/boot was a very popular choice at London Fashion Week; if you want to make a real statement this is the trend to go for, start with a pair of killer over the knee patent red boots and build your outfit from there. The key to nailing this trend is to let your red pieceS be the focus of the outfit, don’t over do it with the colour, instead try choosing just one piece in red and let it do all the talking.
THE TEDDY COAT
Rejoice, the teddy coat is back! This super cosy coat finish was seen in both full length styles, cardigans and shorter jacket silhouettes on the cold, grey streets of London last weekend. Stick to a classic neutral colour palette when styling this trend; choose a loose fit and wear it open so you can show off your outfit but wrap your coat around you if you get a bit chilly. The great thing about this style coat is that it goes with both smart and casual looks and is basically like wearing a blanket out.

THE KNIFE BOOT
The pointed toe is going nowhere and this season has seen it upgraded to a whole new level in the form of the ‘knife boot’; think extreme elongated pointed toe. This is a great shoe choice for women with smaller feel, as it will elongate the foot and leg. Ankle boots are lying a bit further up the leg this season, and the ‘sock boot’ is the preferred fit in both ankle boots or over the knee.
KEEP IT CASUAL
Following Victoria Beckham’s super casual catwalk look at her own show in New York last week, it’s no surprise that paired back casual looks were popular on the front row at London Fashion Week. The skinny jean has been swapped out for looser fitting denims with distressed hemlines; think streamlined casual, less thrown together and more polished yet still easy going.
