March Favourites

Spring has sprung in London!

March has been another busy month, although I feel like I’ve said that about every month so far this year; the clocks went forward, the days got longer, the weather was amazing and I was finally able to pack away my boots for another year. Spring has well and truly sprung!

Following fashion week, it was exciting to see the SS17 stock hit the high street, bursting with bring yellows and soft blush shades; I’ve been loving the oriental take on florals this season and I have been really impressed with how on-point high street stores like Primark and H&M are this season. If you are looking for a little spring style inspiration, then I would recommend visiting your nearest Zara or Stradivarius, who have brought a pinch of high end style influences to the high street this season.

As far as my own purchases I’m only dying to find somewhere I can go to break in these new block heels I got from River Island (featured in this post), and have been really enjoying wearing lighter layers, shorter sleeves and no boots; if you’re looking to update your wardrobe without breaking the bank, you need to have a look at what Primark have in stock at the moment.

You might also have noticed a few changes on La Bella during the last month; I decided to add a little pop of pink in keeping with the trend of SS17 and have made the home page more user friendly. I’ve also made it easier for you to subscribe, so if you haven’t already follow this link. Finally, I added a shop page which I will be updating with inspiration around trends that I have been loving.

Things I’ve been loving this month…

Eau Thermale Avène; I did a whole feature on this serum earlier this month which you can read here. This is such a hydrating serum and has been the perfect thing to apply after some of the warmer days we’ve had this moth; I think I’ll be getting a lot of use out this during the Summer.

So…? Body Mists; I featured So…?’s new line of Summer body mists back at the start of year and have been loving them since. These mists are great to throw in your handbag for a quick spritz to freshen up throughout the day, they also make great room scents. My favourites are Sparking Tea and Fresh Floral.

MAC Colourrocker Collection; it’s been a long time since I’ve loved a MAC release as much as I have the brights of the Colourrocker collection, although there are a few shades in it I’m not brave enough to try. I love Bunny Beams and Tsk! Tsk! (similar).

L’oreal Volume Million Lashes; I accidentally picked this mascara in brown during a recent Superdrug haul, however I decided to keep it. I used to wear brown mascara everyday when I was in school as it is slightly more natural then black; this mascara gives really fluttery, volumised lashes and has been my every mascara all month.

L’oreal Perfect Slim Eyeliner; after falling back in love with brown mascara I went back to Superdrug to get a brown liquid liner. Again, the brown gives a much softer look for everyday wear.

Soft Cotton EDT; I loved the Essence EDT from Stradivarius and decided to try another of their scents. The Soft Cotton is a lovely delicate scent perfect for Spring; this scent is also great for layer with other fragrances because of how soft and subtle it is.

Burt’s Bees Natural Lipsticks; this lipstick in the shade Blush Basin was part of the Latest in Beauty Beauty and the Beast box. It’s soft, creamy formula is really comfortable to wear and soothing on chapped lips while also provided a pop of colour, perfect!

OPI; I loved this OPI polish in the shade You’re Such a Budapest, the perfect borderline pink, lilac shade for SS17.
