Before that, we head into the chaos and madness of the last 24 days before Christmas; for me those days will be packed with Christmas shopping, travel planning, baking and somewhere in between finding time to fit in daily workouts.
On the note of working out, November has not been a good month for me in terms of health and fitness; we all fall off the
wagon every so often, and admitting to the fact that we have failed ourselves is the first step to improvement. December, will be renamed Detox December in my books, the chocolates will be dumped, the gym gear dusted off and my personal goals revisited.
In terms of products that I have been loving, November was a month filled with beautiful things; I made quite a few new purchases from style to beauty and skincare, some of which I am already in love with, others of which you will see and hear more about in December.
Let’s start with style for a change, I am in love with so much of AW16, the soft pastels and winter florals and especially the embroidery and applique; one highstreet store that has (as always) nailed taking the catwalks to the highstreet is Zara, with there gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana inspired pieces. One of my favourite purchases this month is this oversized embroidered shirt from Zara; it’s so comfortable to wear over leggings, paired with Chelsea boots.
Another purchase this month that I was very pleased about was this gorgeous Ted Baker cross body bag; I’m not normally a small bag girl, but I fell in love with this little lilac and rose gold cross body bag minute I laid eyes on it in October, after a lot of humming and hawing I decided to get it at the beginning of the month. I think the colour is so pretty and the suede finish gives it a lovely soft finish; originally when I saw it in the shops it had a rose gold chain strap, so I was a little disappointed when it arrived with a leather strap instead, however I have sourced a chain strap on Amazon that I’m hoping will work with it.
In the beauty department this month I have been using nothing but L’oreal’s True Match foundation, I really can’t get over how good this foundation is for the price and how comfortable it is to wear on a daily basis.
I’ve also fallen in love with Makeup Revolution’s highlighting palette; you really only need this palette in your beauty bag to achieve the perfect glow, it is truly amazing.
For skincare, I’ve been focusing on products that lock in moisture and revive my complexion to fight that winter dullness. A product that I have featured before, and repurchased this month, that is such a great skincare product is No7’s Beautiful Skin Radiance Boost; apply this before bed to wake up to beautifully bright skin. I like to combine this serum with Nuxe’s multi-purpose oil for body, face and hair; this oil smells amazing before bed, I pat it onto my skin after apply my creams and serums to lock in the moisture.
A few techy products that I have been loving this month are my new Sony bluetooth headphones; going wireless has made my life so much easier, especially at the gym. Another bluetooth product, my Hauwei Band; this simple smart watch tracks my steps, exercise and sleep patterns.
