October Favourites

It feels like only yesterday I was putting together my September favourites, and here I am reflecting on the end of yet another month. With only two months remaining in 2016, and Christmas just over 7 weeks away, I feel like there is so much left to do and so little time to do it.

October came and went so quickly, and my calendar was relatively empty these past couple of week, yet I have still got a lot done and feel over all it was a productive month. Looking ahead at my calendar for November and December, things are going to be getting very busy and festive!

Anticipating this, and wanting to insure I bring you the best Christmas content I possibly can, last week I underwent the mammoth task of transferring La Bella to a ‘self-hosted’ blog; there were many hours spent tearing up over my laptop while guzzling endless amounts of coffee, but the results were worth it and I am in love with La Bella’s new look and even more so with it’s new functionality from an admin point of view. I have some exciting content planned for the next two month in collaboration with some great brands so be sure to subscribe to keep up with the latest.

Putting together this month’s favourites was a little bit challenge, as much of the products I was using and loving were carried over from September. However there were a few new products that I have been loving, as well as some old favourites that made a come back this month.

Let’s start with skincare; this month I repurchased the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser in the original blend, while I love the special addition I was using during the Summer, I wanted to be able to put that floral scent away until next Spring, but couldn’t live without this product in my skincare routine. I also got a full size of the Brightening Treatment mask by Liz Earle, which I have been using in rotation with the REN Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask, mostly in the mornings but sometimes as part of my nighttime routine too. Liz Earle have some beautiful gift sets of the classic and much loved products for Christmas, available from Boots, so be sure to check the out if you’re interested in trying the brand out or sharing your love for it with someone else this Christmas. As part of my nighttime routine I have been loving the Clinique melting balm overnight mask to help keep my skin soft and radiant.

Now onto beauty; if you read my Autumn Colour Palette post then you’ll know that I introduced a lot of new products and colours to my make-up this month, . I have really been loveing the NYX Lip Lingerie matte lip colours and the Matte lipsticks, my favourite shade so far being Whipped Caviar. For eye make-up, my go to palette has been the Tarte In Bloom palette, and for quicker eye looks I’ve been using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadows. Also from NYX, this month I tried out the HD concealer, which I have really been liking; it has good coverage and wears well.

Other things I been loving this month:

  • Reading the Game of Thrones novel, since I am a huge fan of the TV show and can’t wait until February to get my next fix.
  • Great British Bake Off
  • Zoe Sugg’s interview with Cosmopolitan
  • Niomi Smart’s gorgeous book Eat Smart as well as Ella Woodward’s mini book Deliciously Ella Smoothies & Juices.
